On the Caminos de Hierro High-Speed Train

Among the Shortlisted Participants in the 32nd Edition of the Contest

For the first time in the history of the Caminos de Hierro international photography contest, a series 112 high-speed train has been covered in vinyl with 170 of the photographs submitted to the 32nd edition of the photo contest. The photographs, chosen from the shortlisted, finalist, and award-winning photographs, will travel for 60 days aboard this train on various routes throughout Spain: Madrid-Valencia, Madrid-Alicante, Madrid-Murcia, Madrid-Ourense, Madrid-León, Seville/Malaga-Zaragoza-Barcelona, and Valencia-Burgos, among other routes.

In this edition of the contest, organized by the Spanish Railways Foundation, 1,827 photographs were received from 676 authors from 43 countries. Although my photograph "Waiting" didn't make it past the preselection, I'm proud to have it travelling across Spain on the first "Caminos de Hierro" high-speed train, whose maiden voyage was on May 27, 2025.
